Spending for the Halloween season could be costly. There's so much you have to spend on - from buying the treats, to setting up your Jack-O-Lanterns, to decorating the house, to buying costumes. Well, it's a once in a year celebration and something most kids (and adults) are looking transmit to share in. While Halloween is one of those must-celebrate seasons in most countries, there are ways on how to put in order for the trick or treat season without breaking the bank.
Aside from picking your jack-o-lantern pumpkins directly from the farm, an additional one way to spend less for the Halloween is by doing homemade Halloween costumes. The simpler the costume idea is, the easier it is to make, and the less material it's going to be made up of.
Amazing Halloween Costumes
For children, a kids zebra costume might just be a practical idea for them for the Halloween. Kids zebra costumes are pretty much easy to make since you can naturally take out a plain white cloth and paint it with black stripes or cut strips of black cloth and do a patch work for the zebra print. If you go for the patchwork though, just make sure you're not using a white cloth that's made of silk or satin. Otherwise the patch work might not end up flat if sewn by the hand. Once the black stripes are painted or sewn on the white cloth, it's time to sew the whole garment into something wearable. Sewing a pair of pajamas out of the printed cloth might look cute. Afterwards, you can just use two pairs of black socks, or a pair of black socks and a pair of black mittens for the zebra's legs. To add a zebra's tail, you can just use some black yarn, which you can glue at the back of the pajamas.
If there is a kids zebra costume, there is also an adult zebra costume. Females can wear a pair of leggings or tights with animal (zebra) print for the lower part. For the upper part, an old fitted white blouse which can be painted with black stripes would make a good piece to complete the whole costume.
To make the overall zebra look complete, either you're wearing the adult or kids zebra costume, you would want to paint your face with some hypoallergenic white and black makeup. naturally dab the whole face with white makeup first then using a thin makeup brush or paintbrush, draw the black stripes from the edge to the center. Just don't forget to paint the nose black.
